03-09-2025, 04:33 AM | #1 Let's start a new thread. What are some things that you wish you would have known as a first-time bird owner that you wish somebody would have told you? I'll start: Not every bird is going to like you. Sometimes you bring them home, and they bond with someone else in your house! I've also had birds that just didn't want to be bothered by anybody at all. They were perfectly content just living their lives away from human hands. That's why I think it's important to meet your bird before you decide, especially if you are wanting a hands-on companion type pet. Aside from that, it commonly takes a lot of time and patience to build your relationship with your bird. Your turn!
